Description

It's getting to be near impossible to find these units lately.

Furthermore, it's even closer to impossible to bracket a shot of this unit against the sunset while it starts to pull out of the station.

I'm quite pleased to have caught water being ejected from the compressor at the bottom right too. :D

Very nice angle. It's truly sad that they're phasing these units out of service, since they have so much more personality, and are more aesthetically pleasing, versus the newer MP36PH-3C units VRE and MARC are fond of...which is almost exclusively what one sees in Ivy City these days.

Incidentally, there's a couple private cars sitting nice and pretty on the platforms by Gate A. Track A6 and A7, if memory serves correctly. There was one on A8, but it was either moved to a different part of Ivy City or was sent out trailing a consist today.
